You would not believe how Springlike it is here in Nevada County already and it’s only February! Taking my morning stroll today I was shooting pictures of daffodils in huge clusters along the road. Imagine if you will the delight in being able to continue my walk on my recently listed 163 acre Bar M Ranch. Rolling pastures, oak clusters, even lovely moss covered rock outcroppings are lending texture to my photos, but also deeply calming atmosphere to my usual walk.
Located in the Western and Southern end of Nevada County in the area known as South County to the locals, this ranch has been in the same family since 1941! Four generations have raised grass fed beef and organic vegetables for their families. Great soil for growing grapes, cattle, and family fruit trees, the ranch is currently available for private tours to interested, and pre approved buyers.
The highlight of this property however, is the access to abundance of water. The rights to 4 miner’s inches (call me for details) go with the land. NID canal runs through the property and the water makes this a rich prize indeed. To top it off there is a spring fed well and a mechanical well that was tested at 60 gpm.
The very crest of the ranch sits on a knoll overlooking the Sierras, from Tahoe west as far as the eye can see. The South Western view takes in the coastal range, the Sutter Buttes, the rice patties in Yuba City and Marysville. So are you excited yet?
