For those of you who don’t know anything about astrology forecasting, never mind the comments about Mercury Retrograde. Those who do understand the comment, do a happy dance! This home is located on a high corner in a sweet area of Grass Valley, California. Just a short walk to the Historic District, Memorial Park, and the walking trails of the Empire Mine, this area called Grande Terrace is a step back in time. Most of the homes here have city amenities (like treated water, natural gas, and INTERNET), but the area retains it’s country charm.
This home sits high on the corner lot overlooking the night lights of Grass Valley. Quiet and friendly, it is a casual walk to the parks or downtown for the plethora of fun, year-round activities. Even though this home was built in 1957, this traditional mid-century rancher has many of the updates that are user friendly for this era. Four bedrooms, two and a half baths, closed garage parking, and a space for your small RV or boat, there is room for one and all.
The floor plan is magical! Master at one end with dual closets and private bath, there are two additional bedrooms off the family room, with a specialty tub area for folks with limited mobility. Another area of the home features yet two more rooms: one currently an office and the other a guest quarters. So FIVE rooms besides family room and living room.
My favorite room, of course, is the kitchen. Completely remodeled, this lovely space has the most gorgeous custom cabinets. Retaining the charm of the era, there is a built-in wall hutch for displaying your favorite pottery or dishware.
The two most enjoyable exterior spaces are the perfect front porch and the magical garden space. I could go on and on about the porch. Well designed at the time, it is a perfect place to end the day overlooking beautiful downtown Grass Valley. It is covered by the roof line, so it is easy to use as an additional living area for visiting and watching the world go by.
Come by and visit and share the magic and lovely energies. An appointment is requested as we have a pet to attend to prior to visits.
