I am always humbled by the sacrifice of our veterans. Thank you never seems enough to say to them and to their families. My family has not lost our veterans to war. They have returned to us, most of them with memories that they would chose to forget, but all of them with skills that have made them into the men of our family. The leaders, the “doers” the bread-winners, and the successes. They learned those skills needed for their careers in the MILITARY. I have to say that some of the people I love are the finest humans I have known, due in part to their military service, and the paths they followed as a result of the training, and discipline of our United States Military. Navy (Grandfather: Kaare O. Asper Sr., Uncle Bruce E. Asper, Brother in law, Richard Heffner) Air Force: (Father: Kaare O. Asper Jr, Husband Edward S. St John Jr, nephew Shelby Hoffman) Army ( Cousin; Richard Asper, nephew Brian Woods) and too many family and friends to count. Your service will always be deeply respected and treasured by me. For this I am grateful to you and salute you this Veterans Day.
